The Kit McClure Band is a proud recipient of the Excellence in Small Business Award 2005 from the City of New York, Office of the Mayor, for demonstrating vision and resourcefulness and contributing to the success of women in New York City.
The Kit McClure Band won this award after more than 20 years of providing great jazz grooves from New York City to Japan to Europe and everywhere in between. Hundreds of women jazz musicians have been able to forge careers in New York City because of our organization. Thousands of young aspiring musicians have been inspired by our example. All this, and we can totally rock a dance floor and a concert hall.
